1. Summary

This product bulletin announces the addition of the Full Fabric license to the 16-port version of the Brocade 200E switch at no cost.

The 16-port version of the Brocade 200E switch will come preconfigured with the Full Fabric license. Every 16-port Brocade 200E switch will have the Full Fabric license installed and enabled. The list price and the COGS structure of the 16-port switch with the enabled Full Fabric license will remain the same as the price and COGS structure of the Brocade 200E switch without the Full Fabric license included on the switch.

2. What’s New

The 16-port version of the Brocade switch with the preconfigured Full Fabric license will have a different marketing part # than the existing version of the 16-port Brocade switch:

The 8-port and 12-port versions of the Brocade 200E switch will require customers interested in the Full Fabric functionality to buy a Full Fabric license to enable this functionality.

8. Warranty and Service

The warranty, extended warranty, and NetApp SupportEdge purchases and renewals apply to Brocade 200E switch just as they do to storage controllers (FAS systems) and other Brocade switches already under NetApp SupportEdge services. Customers will be able to order SupportEdge Premium, SupportEdge Standard, and SupportEdge Secure for Government.
